We’ve previously featured some of the resourceful and imaginative ways people are using Google Street View, but today we wanted to bring things back to basics.
When you think about just how many millions of miles the Google bus has traveled documenting the world, it’s not only mind-boggling but also inevitable that you’re going to come across some serious WTF moments along your travels.
That’s why we’re featuring 30 random scenarios captured by the Google View Street camera as it chugged along city streets, countryside roads and everywhere in between. They range from being utterly perplexing and even quietly terrifying through to the hilarious and utterly bizarre – yet they are all merely a reflection of the world we live in.
Hell, they might even top these 38 Most Unexplainable Images On The Web.
Enjoy and do let us which you found the most striking….
Let’s face it, during chemistry class often the most interesting part of the entire lecture was when the elements either caught fire, morphed into a bubbling melting pot of colour or exploded in an incredibly loud & impressive manner.
But when it comes to entertainment and chemistry, the last thing you’d probably think of is creating a dubstep soundtrack using a variety of chemicals, bunsen burners, test tubes and explosions. Yet that’s precisely what Adam and Dave, two students from the University of Nottingham in the UK decided to do.
Together they setup microphones in the laboratory, used their chemical know how to create some seriously cool reactions, recorded all the various unique sounds of elements colliding and then edited the entire process down into a 2 minute & 30 second dubstep music video. They even recorded a behind the scenes video on exactly how they did it.
It’s inventive, fun and fascinating to watch, in fact it’s proof that when it comes to chemistry, there’s often more than meets the eye.

12 Years ago best mates Richard Carter and John Schroeter (with the help of 30 volunteers) decided to create awesomely effective assault on good taste. Whilst others were decking out their cars with sub-woofers, shiny new rims and bucket seats – the two of them pimped out their trust Volvo with hundreds of singing fish and crustaceans.
So what possible could compell anyone to stick an entire mobile orchestra of singing trout, catfish, sharks & lobsters stuck all over their car?
Richard explains his moment of inspiration:
Basically there were these signing fish that were popular at Christmas and they’re very very annoying. And i realised if one was annoying, how annoying could a couple of hundred be? So we started to build the Sashimi Tabernacle Choir Car. It’s computer controlled, different banks of fish sing different parts, we’ve got a soloist, a conductor – it turned into a big project. But the core idea? It’s to basically make people laugh.
And thus the Sashimi Tabernacle Choir was born!
5 miles of wire, five 6-volt golf cart batteries, a screw drive mechanism using 12v DC reversible motor, a Linux server and approximately 250 synchronized singing fish. The traveling performers have a wide repertoire ranging from opera through to modern day pop, all orchestrated and kept under control by ‘ The Lobster Formerly Known as Larry.’ who acts as the conductor of the madness.
You have to see it, to believe it….
No your eyes aren’t deceiving you, you’re about to witness 3 affable & ingeious dogs called Monty, Porter & Ginny driving a car….entirely by themselves.
It’s part of a program developed by an animal shelter called SPCA Auckland, whereby they’ve trained these 3 rescued dogs to show to the general public how smart, intelligent and talented an adopted pet can be. There’s no doubt it takes a lot of effort, patience and several bags of treats to achieve such feats of ingenuity - but it also looks like a lot of fun doesn’t it?
There’s some truth in the fact dogs will do anything for the odd biscuit, but even we have to admit, driving a car is certainly pushing the boundaries somewhat.
Out of all the items we purchase every day, how many do we keep for over a year?
Not many.
Now more than ever, we seem quite at ease constantly discarding and throwing away items at will. You might take one last sip from a plastic bottle and toss it aside in the bin or your keyboard dies and you launch it onto the scrap heap for the council to pick up. We seldom keep anything and whilst we might recycle, we often don’t reuse.
With that in mind, today’s post is designed to give you little inspiration and some examples of every time items that you can reuse and convert into some pretty cool items for you home, plus they’ll prove to be a major talking point!
So next time you’re about throw away an item, just think – it might look really good on your wall, hanging from the ceiling or even make a unique chair to sit on. If you have any suggestions, please leave us a comment in the post below we’d love to hear them!
If you’re a leading actor in a movie franchie, you can expect a miniature figurine of yourself to be created and sold by the millions. George Lucas has made more money from Star Wars figurines & merchandise than the movies themselves. And lets not forget the rock band KISS who have licensed their likeness in hundreds of dolls, toys and action figures.
But for regular individual in the street, having an action figurine of yourself was something of a dream…until a Clone Factory located in Akihabara, Japan stepped in to fill the void.
Using a combination of SLR’s, 3D rendering and plaster moulds (plus a fee of $1,300) you can now have yourself cloned in miniature It’s both awesome and quite nightmarish in equal amounts. Japanese blogger Danny Choo decided to find exactly what went on behind the scenes and below are some images from his day trip to the centre as well as the final result. Did we mention they even clone pets?
Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below, would you be tempted to have yourself immortalised in miniature?

With so much investment needed in making a featured length film, one of key elements that film studios are fastidious about is the script itself.
Directors are allowed “creative license” whilst actors are given the freedom to interpret their characters as best they can – but the diagloue, that’s pretty much locked down tight.
Teams of writers spend limitless hours going back on forth setting the tone, linking scenes and attempting to give their characters some unique qualities.
That is unless, you’re one of these 25 movies you’re about to see.
It’s here you’ll find entire scenes completely improvised and bite-sized quotes utterly unscripted – a moment of inspiration and
You might be surprised just how many scenes and films you recognise, we certainly were!
Iconic Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini recently celebrated its 50th birthday – quite an achievement for a brand that is the epitome of style, class, and luxury. It’s even more impressive when you consider their world-famous cars start at the low-end of six figures. For 50 years they’ve been highly sought after by the ultra-rich and admire by virtually everyone else.
They kicked off the celebrations with a 4.5 km convoy of Lamborghini supercars, driven by people from 29 different countries.
But the big reveal came, when they decided to showcase their latest car the ‘Egoista’ (translation ‘selfish’ in Italian) – it is frankly breath-taking.
Chief designer Walter De Silva had this to say about the concept car:
This is a car made for one person only, to allow them to have fun and express their personality to the maximum. It is designed purely for hyper-sophisticated people who want only the most extreme and special things in the world. It represents hedonism taken to the extreme, it is a car without compromises, in a word: egoista (or selfish).
He’s right about zero compromises, to get out of the seat you have to physically remove the steering wheel first, flip open the roof and clamber over the body of the car itself. Underneath it’s futuristic exterior is a 600HP, 5.2liter v10 purring away, but if that’s got you drooling to get your hands on one by selling your grandmother and everything you own – you’ll be sorely disappointed.
Only one will ever been manufactured. Essentially it’s Lamborghini’s present to themselves, and like any birthday gift, the rest of us duly have to sit back and admire, secretly wishing that we too could have a piece of the action.
You’ve probably heard countless news reports of people claiming they’ve seen the face of Jesus appearing on all sorts of objects from toast, household items to rock formations and pita bread. And how many times have you looked at a building or group of objects and thought they make out some kind of face?
It’s actually a real phenomenon, but not a supernatural occurence. It’s called ‘Pareidolia‘ and it’s purely psychological (unless you believe in miracles) there’s even an entire subreddit, dedicated to the concept
Your brain randomly perceives an image as being significant in some form, drawing a pattern, shape or recognizable element from the meaningless scattered data in front of you. But in these next 20 examples, faces will either leap out at you, slowly fade into focus, maybe even fade out of focus or not appear at all. They’ll vary from scary, to funny, to sneaky to happy and everything in between.
See if you can spot these 20 unique faces in these 20 unlikely and often hidden places….

One of our favourite Twitter hashtags is #1stworldproblems a cheeky reference to that fact it isn’t easy being a privileged citizen of a developed nation.
So it wasn’t going to be long until someone decided to combined some of the most superficial & narrow-minded tweets into a visual series. It’s amusing, depressing & dumbfounding in equal amounts. It might suck that you don’t have wifi right now, but none of us should ever lose sight of the fact there are scenes like this happening every day in 3rd world countries.
Kick back, relax and prepare to shake your head at 140 characters of self-indulgent first world problems.
